About this event
With over 5GW of capacity now installed, the UK is recognised as the global leader in offshore wind.
Already boasting the highest number of operational projects in the world, an extra 5GW of offshore capacity is expected to be installed by 2020.
Opportunities in the offshore wind sector are not limited to companies already operating in renewables.
Many of the elements required for an offshore wind project have already been developed by the UK’s oil and gas sector, therefore the capabilities for supplying to the offshore wind industry already exist and are transferable. Project developers are looking to engage with UK companies involved in offshore construction.
Join us at this event to:
Hear Siemens forward projection on offshore wind projects for the next 15 years along with an update on their developing Hull facility
Find out how to work with E.ON on their new developments and also operations and maintenance on key existing plant
Obtain details from major contractor Cofely Fabricom about the projects they are working on and tendering for, and how the supply chain should engage with them
Learn from Cofely Fabricom about how skills and experience gained in the oil and gas industry, can be effectively transferred into the offshore wind industry.
