About this event

Join the EIC and Bram Offshore on 24 February to discover Opportunities on the Equatorial margin with Bram Offshore.

Bram Offshore, the Brazilian arm of the global Edison Chouest Offshore group, operates a fleet of over 70 state-of-the-art vessels and boasts a deep-rooted legacy in the region dating back to 1991. The company has cultivated extensive expertise in delivering complex logistical support to offshore operations. This proven capability has been underscored by a landmark contract with Petrobras, valued at R$10.2bn (US$1.8bn), for the charter of four ROV Support Vessels (RSVs). To be constructed with a high local content index at the Navship shipyard in Santa Catarina for delivery between 2029 and 2030, these vessels represent a significant technological advancement. They will feature hybrid propulsion systems and the capability to operate on sustainable fuels like biodiesel, engineering gains designed to boost energy efficiency by over 30% and markedly reduce the carbon footprint of offshore activities.

Building on this technological progress, Bram Offshore is proactively executing a strategy of geographical diversification towards the nation's most promising new exploratory frontiers. A recent institutional visit by its delegation to the Port of Santana in Amapá is of strategic importance in this regard. The state lies at the heart of industry focus due to the vast potential of the Equatorial Margin Basin. This initiative demonstrates Bram’s commitment not merely to identifying emerging opportunities, but to operationally positioning itself as the essential maritime logistical partner for future exploration and production projects in this promising new region.
