About this event

The EIC is happy to announce the Macaé breakfast - Market opportunities in the Operational O&G Sector with Heftos and Oceaneering

Heftos Engenharia is a prominent Brazilian company offering engineering, construction, and integrated maintenance services to the oil and gas sector. Among its recent activities, the company recently submitted a proposal to Petrobras in a competitive tender for the decommissioning of the subsea system at the Congro field in the Campos Basin.

In parallel to this, the company is engaged in the Enchova-Pampo Field Redevelopment project. In July 2020, the company was awarded a contract by Petrobras for construction, assembly, and maintenance services on the PPM-1, PCE-1, P-8, and P-65 platforms.

In addition, Heftos recently secured a contract valued at R$ 298m with Petrobras for the provision of integrated industrial maintenance services across offshore production platforms in the Campos Basin. The agreement, with an initial term of 36 months and the possibility of extension, further consolidates Heftos Engenharia’s role as a strategic partner in the development of Brazil’s offshore energy infrastructure.

Oceaneering is a global provider of engineered services and products, with a well-established presence in Brazil supporting offshore oil and gas operations. In the second quarter of 2024, the company secured two significant new contracts with Petrobras for the supply of up to 362km of steel tube and optical fiber umbilicals, along with associated subsea distribution hardware, to support offshore projects in Brazil. Manufacturing will take place at Oceaneering’s facility in Niterói (RJ), with final delivery expected by the fourth quarter of 2027. The total expected net revenue from the contracts may reach up to US$183m.

Oceaneering also secured a four-year remotely operated vehicle (ROV) service contract with Petrobras, supporting offshore operations of the Aker Wayfarer, operated by AKOFS Offshore. The scope includes work-class ROVs, tooling packages, survey services, and dedicated personnel. The contract began in early 2023 and is valued at approximately US$400m, with options for extension.

In addition, its wholly owned subsidiary, Marine Production Systems do Brasil, holds a five-year contract with Petrobras for the operation of three existing drill pipe riser (DPR) systems, with an option to include a fourth. This agreement was renewed in 2023 until August 2028 and is valued at up to US$75m.
