Turbines installed at Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm
16 May, 2019
All 84 turbines have been successfully installed at the £2.6bn Beatrice offshore windfarm.
Located in the Outer Moray Firth, 13km off the east coast of Caithness, the 588MW project is the largest offshore wind farm in Scotland and the fourth largest in the world.
Once operational later this year it will produce enough clean energy to power more than 450,000 UK homes.
The Beatrice project is led by a joint venture of SSE Renewables, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Red Rock Power Limited.
