TechnipFMC lands BP Tortue contract
16 April, 2018

UK-based TechnipFMC has been awarded a front-end engineering design contract by BP for the floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit for the Tortue/Ahmeyim field development, located offshore on the maritime border of Mauritania and Senegal.
TechnipFMC will work on defining the technology and equipment scope.
The initial subsea infrastructure will connect the first four wells consolidated through production pipelines leading to a FPSO vessel. From here liquids will be removed and the export gas transported via a pipeline to the floating liquid natural gas hub terminal where the gas will be liquefied.
The Tortue/Ahmeyim field development is located in the C-8 Block offshore Mauritania and the Saint-Louis Profond Block offshore Senegal.
