Tata Power wins 150MW Indian solar project

India’s largest integrated power company Tata Power has won a 150MW solar PV project in Maharashtra, India.
The contract to develop the project was awarded by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company and includes a 25-year power purchase agreement.
The Maharashtra solar project forms part of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company’s ambitious plan to connect 1,000MW of solar power projects to the grid over the next 25 years.
Tata Power commissioned the 50MW Pavagada solar park in the state of Karnataka, India, in January this year and has commissioned over 1,100MW of solar projects in India to date.
