Siemens signs service agreement extensions for Qatar power plant

German engineering group Siemens and Qatar Power Company (QPower) have signed a service agreement extension for the 1,025MW Ras Laffan Power Plant in Qatar.
The company will continue to maintain and support the power generation requirements of Ras Laffan B combined-cycle power plant for a further 15 years.
Siemens will provide maintenance, parts and repair services for three SGT5-4000F gas turbines, two SST5-6000 steam turbines, and their associated generators.
The agreement also includes the supply of Siemens’ digital services and cybersecurity solutions, aimed at boosting efficiency and reliability of the plant’s operation.
