15 May, 2019
German-Spanish wind turbine specialist Siemens Gamesa has signed a contract to supply and commission 43 turbines for a 194MW wind project in Canada.
The company will supply 43 SG 4.5-145 machines to the undisclosed customer, ensuring Siemens Gamesa’s place as the market leader in Canada by cumulative installed capacity with more than 3GW.
Once installed, the SG 4.5-145 will be the most powerful turbine with the largest rotor size to date in Canada.
Measuring 71 metres, the blade integrates aerodynamics and noise reduction features to guarantee a high production of energy and lower noise emission levels.
Siemens Gamesa will join Ørsted, Vattenfall, MHI Vestas Offshore Wind, EDF Energy, Wood and more at EIC Connect Energy 2019 this September in Manchester.
