08 November, 2018
The country’s State Secretary for Energy Grzegorz Tobiszowski has announced ambitious plans to develop 8GW of offshore wind between 2020 and 2035.
Poland opened a 1GW onshore energy auction on 5 November. A partial survey of bidders by WindEurope revealed bid prices of between €43/MWh and €63/MWh.
Tobiszowski announced that this auction would be followed by another onshore wind tender in the next few months.
The country will pass a law determining annual volumes of offshore wind to be developed through to 2035.
