First power delivered from 120MW Taiwanese offshore wind farm

Six of the 20 Siemens Gamesa wind turbines have started generating electricity at Ørsted’s 120MW Taiwanese Formosa 1 offshore wind farm.
All 20 6MW machines are expected to be fully operational within the next two months.
Project developers Ørsted own a 35% stake in the wind farm, while its joint venture partners JERA own a 32.5% stake, Macquarie Capital holds 25% and Swancor Renewable Energy own the remaining 7.5% share.
