EDF Renewables wins 1GW Texas O&M service agreement

French energy giant EDF will provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services for three onshore wind farms in Texas, US.
EDF Renewables North America won the multi-year agreement for the assets totalling 1,030MW for Phoenix Wind Repower.
The company will provide asset management, balance of plant management, remote monitoring, and compliance services for the 225MW Trinity Hills, 145MW Sherbino Mesa II and 60MW Silver Star projects.
All three projects currently operate with Clipper C96-2.5 turbines and will be repowered with Vestas V110-2.2 models by 2020.
This latest contract takes EDF Renewables’ asset optimisation portfolio to over 2.3GW in Texas, including 15 projects and six turbine manufacturers.
