BP awards subsea contracts to McDermott and BHGE
13 March, 2018
McDermott and Baker Hughes, a GE company (BHGE), have been awarded an engineering, construction and installation contract for BP’s West African Tortue/Ahmeyim development.
The two firms will collaborate to define the technology and equipment scope for an initial four-well development phase for the major gas project located offshore on the maritime border of Mauritania and Senegal.
During the initial engineering phase, McDermott will focus on defining the subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines for the project, while BHGE will look at the subsea production system scope.
Teams from both companies will perform the project management and FEED work from McDermott’s Epsom facility in the UK.
