Oil major Saudi Aramco has signed agreements with several US and UAE contractors for offshore oil and gas megaprojects.
US-based Jacobs Engineering has been selected to perform engineering and project management services for the offshore Zuluf field development.
Included in the contract is the provision of new facilities to process 600 million barrels per day of Arab heavy crude oil from the field.
Abu Dhabi firm NPCC won the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) contract for a new-phase programme at the giant offshore Safaniyah field.
This includes construction of a tie-in platform to serve as an additional gathering hub for future oil wellhead platforms, as well as providing a further source of power to the field through 20km of subsea cable.
McDermott Middle East picked up the EPCI contract for 10 new slipover platforms at the South Safaniyah field, in order to enhance production of crude oil.
