21 April, 2017
Canadian firm Alterra Power has purchased the 320MW Boswell Springs Wind Complex in Wyoming from Colorado developer Intermountain Wind.
Boswell Springs will contain one-hundred and sixty 2MW turbines, four substations and a 56km 230kV transmission line.
Alterra, who started building the main power transformers for the complex in 2016, expects the projects to qualify for US renewable electricity production tax credits (PTCs) at the full rate.
The Boswell Springs Wind Complex in Albany County is scheduled to come online in 2020.
