Ørsted officially opens Race Bank offshore wind farm

Danish renewable energy developer Ørsted will officially open its 573MW Race Bank offshore wind farm at a ceremony in Grimsby today, 13 June.
The 91-turbine wind farm is located off the Norfolk coast and will be operated from Ørsted’s East Coast Hub in Grimsby, the UK’s largest offshore wind operations and maintenance base.
Race Bank will produce enough energy to power over half a million UK homes.
Race Bank is owned by Ørsted (50%), Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 5 (25%), Sumitomo Corporation (12.5%) and fund managers the Green Investment Group, Arjun Infrastructure Partners and Gravis Capital Management (12.5%).
