EIC launches Renewable Energy Membership package at WindEnergy Hamburg
26 September, 2018
Energy trade association the Energy Industries Council (EIC) has unveiled its newest membership category at WindEnergy Hamburg, where it is co-hosting the UK pavilion.
For the first time ever, it will offer a bespoke Renewable Energy Membership option aimed at those companies already working in or new entrants to the wind, solar, biomass, tidal transmission and storage markets.
Members will have access to 6,700 global renewable projects being tracked on its market leading database EICDataStream. Covering the full lifecycle of projects, from feasibility to construction and then completion, it helps members to identify opportunities and plan their business development strategies.
For those organisations focused on O&M work in the renewables sectors, the EIC offers its OPEX database EICAssetMap, which provides the details of all major producing assets across all onshore and offshore renewable sectors in the UK and Norway. EICAssetMap is an interactive map searchable by sector, location and operator. In many cases site contractor details are also available.
Through an extension programme of events and delegations EIC membership offers access to key operators and contractors working on some of the world’s largest renewable developments.
New members looking for renewable energy opportunities around the world will benefit from the EICLaunchPad service which provides a low-cost, low risk entry into new markets. The trade association can offer office facilities, meeting rooms and hot desks in its locations around the world.
Speaking at WindEnergy Hamburg EIC Head of Power, Nuclear and Renewables Amisha Patel said, ‘As the energy landscape continues to evolve so too does the EIC. As we transition to a lower carbon world, the renewables sector has grown substantially, offering a wealth of opportunities to suppliers. Given the ever-increasing importance of this sector we have launched a Renewable Energy Membership option for those companies focused on these markets.’
