10 August, 2020
Enel Green Power España has connected a new 3.46 MW wind farm in the town of Mallén and Fréscano, in the province of Zaragoza, to the electricity grid.
With an investment of €4.6m (£4.1m), the Dehesa farm in Mallén will be able to generate up to 11.2 GWh per year.
The Dehesa de Mallén wind farm has one wind turbine and it is estimated it produce enough electricity to power up 2,841 homes. Its commissioning will avoid approximately 7.400 tonnes of CO2 being emitted into the atmosphere annually.
In 2019, Enel Green Power España connected thirteen wind farms in Aragón located in the Teruel and Zaragoza provinces in Spain, with a total combined annual capacity of 424 MW. By 2020, it plans to supply 82 new megawatts of wind power in both provinces.
