Why WindEurope Electric City?
Electric City is a new onshore and offshore wind event, with participants from wind and beyond – heavy industry, mobility, district and domestic heating, storage, hybrids, hydrogen and many more – to join the conversation on how we build a clean economy. This means new voices at the conference, debating changes we need in policy, business models and technology to deliver the transition. It means new business partners and customers for you on the exhibition floor. Including people who haven’t engaged with wind before but now want to. It means a unique event where you’ll find the new technologies, new thinking and new relationships to power the energy transition – and Europe’s Green Deal.
This event will bring the wind industry together to make the most of an unprecedented window opportunity. With a green recovery approach to the Covid-19 situation and ambitious carbon emission reductions plans in the years to come, the European Union has provided the context for significant opportunities in the renewable energy space.
WindEurope’s Electric City 2021 conference brings together the entire decarbonisation value chain, offering attendees the chance to fully exploit the growing discussions on cross-sector coupling as well as the immense opportunities in the European project pipeline. In offshore wind alone, over 90GW of capacity could be installed across European markets up to 2030. The need to decarbonise industry and transport has resulted in the production of green hydrogen with renewable energy as being a key topic for both industry and policymakers. The list of hydrogen projects in Europe continues to grow, with over 38 developments at various stages being tracked in our database to date, representing over US$20bn in CAPEX. But these are only two of the key sectors on offer at the conference, which covers the entire value chain of energy system technologies, including onshore wind energy, market integration of technologies, power-to-X, offshore grid systems and electrification technologies for industry and transport.
Don’t miss this chance to be part of the decarbonisation industry and its opportunity in the coming decade!
