Nuclear Decommissioning Showcase
07 Sep 2018, Aker Solutions, Aberdeen International Business Park
Open to: All companies
Come join us for our Nuclear Decommissioning Showcase.
The decommissioning and clean-up of the UK’s civil nuclear
facilities is a long-term programme of work scheduled to last into next century.
With an annual supply chain spend of £1.7 billion, of which 25% is spent with small
and medium sized enterprises, there are significant opportunities for supply
chain companies to secure work across the nuclear decommissioning estate.
This sector showcase will be a chance to hear from global project service provider, Wood
, a key major contractor in the nuclear decommissioning sector, who recently won a framework contract to provide design and engineering services to the Dounreay nuclear site in Scotland. Wood will also provide an overview of the company’s current projects and detail how the supply chain can get involved in supporting its work.Dounreay
will highlight ongoing opportunities for the supply chain and discuss how the site is encouraging SMEs to get involved in the ‘LINC with Dounreay’ initiative, helping to encourage collaboration and delivering innovative solutions. Nuclear AMRC
will also speak on the day and will offer their knowledge and support to oil and gas companies wishing to explore the Nuclear sector.
The showcase will also offer fantastic networking opportunities and one-to-one opportunities. Timings
