Oil & Gas
Egypt is one of Africa’s main oil and gas producers, both oil and gas are found throughout the country in multiple onshore and offshore regions, including the Mediterranean Sea, which is emerging as a major new gas basin. Egypt has made positive improvements in its oil and gas industry over the past year, long-delayed fiscal reforms have been implemented, several dozen oil and gas exploration concessions have been finalised after three years of stagnation and two offshore floating storage and regasification units have now been rented.
Egypt possesses an abundance of land, sunny weather and high wind speeds, making it a prime location for renewable energy sources. The renewable equipment market is potentially worth billions of dollars and over the next three to five years, the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy plans to add 51.3 GW to current installed capacity.
Egypt should be a key export market for any UK supply chain company working in the energy sector. Attend this event to further understand the opportunities in each sector and to learn the crucial requirements for doing business successfully in the region.
This event is run in partnership with the British Egyptian Business Association (BEBA) and the Egyptian British Chambers of Commerce (EBCC) who will be bringing a delegation of Egyptian companies interested in buying or forming joint ventures with UK companies.
