JDR Cables - site tour and business presentation
13 Dec 2017, Hartlepool College
Open to: All companies
Please join the EIC to welcome a business presentation from JDR Cables, an EIC member company who have experienced a significant increase demand within the renewable energy and offshore sectors, which is demonstrated by their recent contract wins, reflecting their strength in the markets they serve and their confidence in the future.
There will be a site tour of JDR Cables Hartlepool facility after their business presentation. Hartlepool is the largest of JDR’s manufacturing facilities and boasts a 12 metre deep water quayside with heavy lifting capability and direct access to the North Sea.
There will also be a business presentation by PD Ports on port operations and potential scope for future opportunities.
JDR's arrival in Hartlepool in 2009, triggered the start of a £30m investment programme to develop a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. During the last nine years, it has nearly trebled the size of its premises to more than 280,000 sq feet.
The company already exports across the globe in markets from subsea oil and gas to offshore renewables -particularly offshore wind, including a string of landmark projects.
Earlier this year JDR became the preferred cable supplier for Windplus, to supply the cables for a trailblazing windfarm project off the coast of Portugal that will see the industry's first application of dynamic cables operating at 66kV.
This is a great opportunity to find out more about JDR cables and PD Ports, understand their biggest challenges and put forward any new solutions or products that may support future growth.
