The Energy Industries Council is delighted to announce that, as in previous years, we will be organising the UK Group at ONS taking place in Stavanger, Norway from 26 – 29 August 2008.
Please note that we recommend booking early due to very high demand in 2006 and additionally the fact that stand space at the 2008 exhibition is now sold out and a wait list is in operation for space outside the national pavilions.
The benefits of exhibiting through the UK Group are:
- Good location for the UK Group at the show, in the busiest end of Hall J.
- Innovative UK branded stand design to draw visitors to the Group
- Your own specially designed and furnished stand within the UK Group
- The use of a fully equipped, private Group lounge
- Entry for each exhibitor in the Guide to UK Group Brochure
- Promotion of the Group through various publications/press releases
- Access to all additional networking events
- Dedicated project manager to assist prior to and onsite at the show
- Dedicated travel and freight agents

ONS aims to serve as an international forum for communicating information on the petroleum industry in Norway. During its 30 years of life, ONS has become a leading and authoritative meeting place in the world of oil and gas.
ONS arranges a major international conference and exhibition every second year. The first was held in 1974.
This event provides an arena for discussing and presenting the political, economic and technological dimensions of international oil and gas at a very high level. In recent years, it has also included broader energy issues while maintaining a focus on the petroleum industry.
Both the exhibition and conference showed record numbers. Over 1,100 paying delegates attended the conference, while the 1,251 exhibitors attracted roughly 35,000 visitors.
Visitors: 35,571
Conference delegates: 1,700
Total number of stands: 1.294
Total m2 exhibition: 17,507 m2
Participating nations: 92
National pavilions: 19
Journalists: 330
A record was also set for the number of journalists attending the event, with 330 from 20 countries registering with the press centre.
With 50 per cent of the exhibitors coming from outside Norway, the exhibition occupied just over 17,500 square metres of stand space divided between 10 halls and various outdoor sites.
There have been 366 stands, including 18 national pavilions which often housed smaller stands. Twenty-three countries were represented in all. |
