Becoming a Host

EIC training events are usually held at the host company’s premises and the technical workshops give those who attend an appreciation of the equipment they may be procuring/engineering but may not have seen.

EIC training is highly interactive and includes presentations, site tours, demonstrations, simulation exercises and more. The one thing all our hosts have in common is a desire to educate their audience by using a range of different techniques, with a very hands-on approach.

Many of our hosts have been delivering EIC workshops for several years and consider it an excellent opportunity to introduce others to their company, product and services in an informative and instructive manner. The workshops can provide business benefits for both the host and attendee.

Spirax-Sarco in Cheltenham has been host to sell-out EIC Workshops for 5 years. "Graduate engineers have joined us for the Introduction to Steam and Condensate Systems. We find the technical workshops mutually beneficial. We have the opportunity of informing delegates about the efficient and safe use of process steam, and its benefits, and at the same time we get to meet our customer’s future engineers." Roger Glassonbury - Training Manager, Spirax Sarco

"As a presenter it is always a challenge to engage with a diverse audience on the technically challenging subject of emissions control and carbon capture from coal fired power plant, but the resulting insightful feedback from different perspectives is highly rewarding". Gerry Hesselmann - Principal Engineer, Doosan Babcock
