International providers of qualified manpower, V.People, has won two new contracts worth $1.8 million. The company which provides trained, competency assured people to work in the oil and gas industry around the world from its bases in Aberdeen, Houston and Stavanger, has been awarded contracts to supply specialised personnel to Marie Tecnimont SPA, and GPS.
The contract with Marie Tecnimont SPA, based in Milan, is to supply competency-assured construction workers for Saudi Aramco's Sumitomo refinery at Rabigh on the Red Sea coast. The first batch of workers, of all trades, have been sourced from The Philippines office of V.Group, the parent company of V.People. In the offshore sector, the framework agreement with GPS involves an initial supply of electrical and mechanical engineers to TOTAL's FPSO Akpo in West Africa.
